Adding Meta Tags to Certain Pages
Updated: May. 20, 2015
In today's digital age it isn't enough to just have a website, that website needs to be easily found through search engines. StarChapter makes it easy to add meta tag information (keywords and descriptions) to individual pages located on your site. To add meta tag data to individual pages of your website, navigate to the Meta Tags page located under the Content Manager section. Click the Add button and on the next screen, choose which page you would like to add the meta tag to. In the Description field, write a sentence or two describing the content on the page.
For example, starChapter is based in Baltimore, Maryland and serves organizations across the United States. StarChapter is designed to help you, the leadership of local chapters, succeed. This would be a good description for the About Us page. In the Keywords field, enter keywords for the page separated by a comma. For example, Baltimore professional chapter management software, content management software, association content management. Leave the checkbox next to Block search indexers? unchecked.
Once satisfied with the meta data that you've added, click the Insert button and your meta data will automatically be added to your page. For more information about adding meta tags to your website, please click here.
