A serious security vulnerability affecting OpenSSL, known as Heartbleed, was made public on Monday, April 7. Beginning yesterday, we addressed and closed the vulnerability identified by this announcement. To date, we have no indication that an attack has been conducted against StarChapter.

SSL is an encryption technology that secures information that is transmitted over the Internet. This vulnerability represents a potential risk to a great number of internet sites, not just the StarChapter service, as you may have heard or read about in the news.

StarChapter’s security engineers and vendors work diligently at keeping the StarChapter service safe for your information and ecommerce transactions. We consistently work to prevent and fix potential security vulnerabilities. Our team will continue to monitor this situation.
