Still Using POP3 to Manage Your Chapter?
Updated: Aug. 31, 2017 | Categories: StarChapter Admin, Member Communications
In our last blog, we discussed the first solution to manage your chapter’s emails using free email services. In today’s blog, we go into further detail about the second and best option for your chapter’s email – the paid services offering. There are many very capable services on the market, but the most popular ones are Gmail at Work and Microsoft Outlook.com. Although StarChapter does not endorse any one of these services, we suggest them here as options to consider.
These services handle all aspects of individual email accounts that will not conflict with your StarChapter outgoing mailing service. Beyond easy access, there are other benefits to consider such as robust email and filtering applications, secure and protected accounts, and sufficient storage. Association chapters are run like small businesses – and they also need that branded email address to differentiate them from other chapters. Paid option also allows you to create a domain using your role and association and chapter name.
Remember our example from last post? If you are the president of the New York chapter in association ABC – you can setup your email address as [email protected]. Perfectly branded and easy to remember.
And, if you are using Gmail at Work or Microsoft Outlook.com, you can view your emails, calendar, tasks, and all other content through your PC, tablet, or mobile device.
In our next blog, we will help you decide which email option is more suited for your chapter.
